Udana Special Children's Centre is a school for children with special needs. We were operating at a Buddist temple in Maharagama,Sri Lanka for last 4 years. Recently we shifted to a small old house at Navinna Road, Maharagama.
Last year we had a difficult period as we have to move the school to a temporary location. However, thanks to kind hearted friends like you who donated some money, we manage to pay the rent and continue to look after needs of those children. These children generally do not get the support they deserve from the society, and also some time from their own families.
We believe they have all the rights and the capacity to get an education and be useful citizens to the society. BUT-------------------- We need your little HELP to make this happen.
Udana Special Children's Centre was established as a voluntary service organisation to implement programmes which enable the children with special needs to achieve improvements in academic level, independence and interdependence, socialization, self discipline and greater self confidence. |
